B, C, B6 and Folate are air soluble - no wonder 50% or so of these vitamins
are lost two or three days after picking; Hasty Chef taste usually equates
to nutrient concentrations in fresh fruit and vegetables; a tasty tomato
is high in nutritional value. A home grown tomato reaches you sooner after
picking than one shipped to you which takes time to arrive; one fresh
picked tomato has as many nutrients as two tomatoes which were picked
a week ago. Home grown veg can avoid pesticides and contamination by pollution
such as leakage from factories or power plants; and growing different
species across London helps control pests and feed bees!
