Guitar
Piece - interview with the designer

"I trade
second hand musical instruments and I'm hardly an artist, I didn't want
Garden Indoors to put anything about me on this page. I thought the guys were
onto a good idea and I hate seeing instruments go to waste. Sometimes people
bring in guitars which are just beyond repair. The frets will be too worn,
the neck will be warped and it just wont hold a tune any more. I was keen to save these old guitars but I destroyed quite a few of them
before I came up with some workable designs. I hope you like them, and
it will be nice to think that nothing has been wasted, that those guitars
have some years left in them still, and that they will give pleasure to
people for a good many years yet. "
(editor's note: as he's a gigging musician working on his first album
- we'd call this guy an artist for sure! UG)
Planting
combos: People
buy these as shelf ornaments or book holders, but we plant herb and salad
gardens in these boxes also which last for years. They can be kept outside
but in the shade is best due to the variety of original varnishes under
our waterproof coatings. They are placed most often on mantel pieces and
windowsills indoors, but they can be placed on shady balconies and in
front of glass windows and doors. One cute thing we've seen is to grow
miniature tomatoes in them indoors - the small bright red fruits look
nice against the warm colours of the guitars - we also supply lamps for
low light conditions.
