"I've been restoring antique books and Garden Indoors asked me if I had any thoughts on garden boxes for apartments. I
thought of my own apartment window and how it's often overcast where I
live. I didnt do much with the suggestion until I was sitting one day
trying to solve a problem I had with my work, when I had one of those
moments. I was just sitting there, looking out at the clouds, when a few
rays of the setting sun started to break around the edge of the clouds
and they lit up with a golden glow. It was just around the edge of the
clouds, as if someone had painted them with a gilted line. I'm not good
with woodwork but I'm pretty adept with pen and paper and I got some immediately
and set to work. I had come up with the sunbox!"
Planting combos: In
this box we plant our 6mth, 1 yr, 2 yr, 5 yr and longlife Instant Gardens,
and our mushroom boxes utilise the ledge beneath the watering can stand
where we also sprout new seedlings between times. We grow tomatoes, french
beans and herbs in these boxes as well as perennials. These boxes go on
balconies and in front of glass windows and doors where there's about
six hours of sunlight or more a day. We also supply lamps for low light
conditions.
Box sizes: international
shipped standard approx. 85cm long by 20cm wide by 38cm tall, varying
smaller lengths supplied depending on your conditions but for the same
price. Grow and care instructions, and recipes for fresh food from your
