Thyme
Clock with mushrooms - interview
with the designer
"I liked
the fort box and frankly just wanted to make something similar! I was a
tiler and kitchen fitter by trade before I started painting full time. I
like herbs and it seemed a cute idea to keep thyme in a clock tower - the
sort you find in almost every town. I've modified the design to include
a mushroom box. It's just a compartment with a lid inside the tower - like
the fort box, you can keep mushrooms in it, or you can store your seeds
or secrets in there!"
Planting
combos: People
buy these as shelf ornaments or book and pencil holders, but we plant
herb and salad gardens in these boxes too, and they last for years. They
can be kept outside in all weathers, and the laminated info and tool pouch
is quite weatherproof. These smaller boxes fit on window sills and are
often placed there, or on mantelpieces indoors, or in front of sunny windows,
but they are quite sturdy and will stand on balconies, in front of glass
windows and doors and in full sun. We also supply lamps for low light
conditions.
