If you already frequent small bookshops you'll know about the diversity and fascination of independently sourced books once you walk away from the high street bestseller lists. A good bookshop is like a journey - in Tibet one minute, in the cloisters of the mind the next - and whatever the selection - whether it be philosophy, fantasy, adventure or learning - you will surely travel and be changed by the experience. We stock only good quality, independent titles at rates that compete well with high st prices. We can do this because our margins are small, and because we use Royal Mail wherever possible to send our books. Your first step is to search for your book using our search engine. That's the bookcase you see when you first reach our site, and you can go to it by clicking "book search" top left of this page. If you search for a book, we will show you our best results - and prices across Waterstones, Amazon, WH Smith and others as well as our own prices, whenever the listings are available. If you've stumbled on a gem that's only available from LSN Library, or from a local bookshop, we'll show you that result as a speciality. Paying for a book is secure using our LSN business directory payment service through the Royal Bank of Scotland. Also, any book you buy from us comes with a free £10 credit voucher to spend on clothes, other books, CDs and all sort of things from participating retailers in London, UK, Europe and online! And our relationships with publishers mean you can sometimes get access to extras with your books - like free radio play versions of your book, free previews, or discount vouchers on subsequent books - offers which aren't always available if you buy the book elsewhere!
Free extras for customers
As well as access to free CDs of radio plays or downloads that accompany books, free previews and £10 spending vouchers for our partner networks - we also occasionally offer free previews of new books and first access to limited editions. We also provide advance notice of exclusive premiers or social events being held in your area in bookshops and at other gathering and meeting places. For example, LSN sponsored events in and around the

in 2009, and is currently preparing its catalogues for its entry at

. LSN was a supporting contributor to the
Planet Friendly
network exhibition of new books held on the Bridge at Thames Festival London 2009 (at the

). Book readings and signings took place, and a detox cocktail or three were made by our green network partners
